I’m a former middle school English teacher turned instructional designer living in Jacksonville, Florida. The skills and experience that made me a good teacher uniquely prepared me for the work I’m doing now. I wrote about the transition from teaching to ID in this article for Learning Solutions online magazine.

As a full time instructional designer for a growing medical device company, my work gives our salesforce a headstart in becoming product experts and keeps our product development team in compliance with training in risk management.

As a freelance designer, I choose projects where I can apply my creativity and learner empathy. I use an agile process (Successive Approximation Model) for project management, and am proficient in Rise 360 and Camtasia for content development.
